WEEK 1

TEXTILES & FASHION, COSTUME DESIGN, SURFACE PATTERN DESIGN, CERAMICS, GLASS, JEWELLERY, CONTEMPORARY DESIGN, CRAFTS

New Designers 2018 had 3,000 examples of work produced by the next generation of talented and exciting designers. Held at the Business Design Centre in Islington between June 27-30 (week 1) & July 4-7 (week 2), students from around the UK showcase their final pieces of work. Week 1 has already made a big impression with industry experts, with work from a wide range of designers filling the room with a vast array of colour, design, and creativity.

I’ve put together a showcase of the designers which I thought looked unique, interesting and new. Some were subtle yet beautiful, others were bold and fun. As a print designer myself, I’m very excited for the students, and I wish them all the best of luck in the future.
